About the draft study

The draft Riddells Creek Movement Network Study aims to provide a strategic transport plan proposing infrastructure to accommodate long-term population growth within the Riddells Creek township boundary, and to address the local community's transport concerns.

Recommendations are provided for pedestrian, cycling and intersection improvements and speed limit reduction.

Various stakeholders, including the Riddells Creek Community Planning Group (RCCPG) and the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), have provided earlier input into the draft study.

26/3/24: Please note that a discrepancy has been identified between the Top 30 priorities list outlined in the Agenda excerpt above, and the draft report above/list outlined below. The list in the Agenda excerpt was slightly outdated and incorrectly published - the list outlined in the draft report and on this page is the latest and reflects the most up-to-date multi-criteria analysis, including considering community feedback.

Top 30 study recommendations

The report outlines a total of 112 potential projects, ranked from highest to lowest priority based on a a multi-criteria analysis (MCA). The criteria surrounded six key themes: feasibility, connectivity, safety, alignment with Movement and Place aspirations, alignment with local strategy and policy, and stakeholder and community sentiments.

The top 30 projects are considered as the highest priority for development by Council - these are listed in order of priority below and highlighted visually on the below map (more details can be found in the report).
