In 2026, Mayor Cr Kate Kendall is keen to be as accessible to the community as possible. To support this, the Mayor’s office at Kyneton Town Hall will be open for weekly Meet the Mayor sessions.

These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss concerns, ask questions, or share ideas about your local community.

  • How meetings work

Appointments are available in 30-minute sessions.

    Meetings can be held:

    • online via Microsoft Teams
    • by scheduled phone call
    • in person at Kyneton Town Hall.

In-person meetings will generally take place on Mondays between 12pm and 2pm. (please note: Councillors attend briefings on Tuesdays.)

  • Before your meeting

The Mayor will review all meeting requests before appointments are confirmed. Depending on the topic, the Mayor may consult with the CEO and, where appropriate, arrange for Council officers to attend to ensure your matter is addressed effectively.

  • If your enquiry relates to:

    • operational matters or planning applications, it may be referred through Council’s established support pathways
    • State or Federal government responsibilities, or matters outside Council’s role, you may be referred to your local Member of Parliament.

For general service requests, please contact Council on (03) 5422 0333 or mrsc@mrsc.vic.gov.au

  • Additional opportunities to connect

Councillors will also be hosting a series of listening posts across the Shire in 2026, providing further opportunities for community feedback.
