4 March 2024: Submissions have now closed for these designs - thank you to those who provided feedback. Feedback will be reviewed and the designs progressed for adoption at a future Council meeting.

An upgrade of the Romsey Skatepark has been driven by the Lancefield Romsey Lions Club for a number of years, including periods of community consultation throughout 2022 and 2023.

These consultations included the completion of surveys gathering information on users and design priorities, on-site sessions and advertising through social media.

To date, $550,000 has been committed by the Victorian Government, while Council allocated $20,000 towards initial planning works in the Budget 2023-24. Work is continuing behind the scenes to secure the project’s full funding.

Designs

Drawing on earlier consultation and the feedback received, the Lions Club - through skatepark specialists Baseplate - have had designs developed, with the new skatepark proposed to feature a large bowl, a quarter pipe, pump track and a series of hips and corners.

Council is leading the next phase of community consultation and invites feedback on these proposed designs.
