Applications for these scholarships closed on Friday 6 September 2024, and successful applicants have since completed the training.

We are committed to supporting local sporting clubs in being a supportive and safe place for people of all abilities, reflected in guiding documents such as the recently endorsed Fair Access Policy.

In partnership with VicHealth, we are offering two scholarships for local sports participants to complete Play Like A Girl Empowered to Lead training, or coaches who are committed to improving access to sports for females.

About the scholarship

It is a transformative five-week leadership journey.

Going beyond traditional learning, it’s an immersive experience that teaches through the examples and stories of women in sports, such as:

  • Mindset Mastery
  • Communication Skills
  • Leadership Growth
  • Confidence Building

The program is designed to uplift and support women and girls in community sports by providing leadership training and networking opportunities that will improve player and club capacity, to create a welcoming environment for women and girls of all ages and abilities.
