Join us in revisiting the key Council documents that shape our services to the community.

Council is seeking the views of all Macedon Ranges residents and businesses on what we should focus on over the next four years. Your views will help us shape the Community Vision, Council Plan, Financial Plan, Asset Plan, and Revenue and Rating Plan.

This survey is the latest part of our deliberative engagement process, informing the development of key documents and council priorities over the next four years.

Further opportunity for community feedback will occur later this year when the revised draft documents are completed. For more information, see Reshaping the Ranges.

What you will be asked

• Community Vision: You will be asked about our current vision and your aspirations for the future of the shire.
• Council Plan: You will be asked about actions made by Council each year, in addition to other questions relevant to the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan, and Disability Action Plan.
• Asset Plan: You will be asked about the maintenance of Council assets, to meet the needs of all community members.
• Financial Plan: You will be asked about how you think we should be prioritising our spending, rate capping and waste charges.
• Rating and Revenue Plan: You will be asked about different types of rates and user fees.

Survey dates

This survey will be open for an extended period of six weeks, from Wednesday 5 February 2025 through to COB Tuesday 18 March 2025.

Please note - due to the required earlier delivery and adoption of the Rating and Revenue Plan, we may seek to incorporate feedback informing this plan a week or so earlier than the closing date of Tuesday 18 March 2025.
