Stanley Park Bushland Reserve has been used by local residents and visitors for walking, picnicking and nature study for over 100 years.

A draft Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP) has been developed for the park to guide future infrastructure needs for a range of users, and seeks a balance between ecological priorities and passive recreation needs of the community.

Feedback was invited on the draft plan until 5pm on Friday 19 April 2024. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

About the draft plan

Key features of the IMP includes:

  • future plans for updating interpretive signage
  • provision to update or maintain existing infrastructure such as footbridge, stone steps, toilet facilities, car park and fencing near waterfall vegetation.

A long term vision for the park includes consolidating all infrastructure to focus passive recreation in the north-east corner of the site and stage the removal of existing infrastructure such as the existing play equipment, surrounding mowed grass and carpark as they require replacement / renewal over time.

The park's Environmental Management Plan recommendations to protect the site’s flora and fauna values have also helped to guide the development of the draft IMP.
